Evaluation question four: Who would be the audience for your media product?

According to bbfc regulations, certificate 18
 was the most appropriate choice.

When developing our product, we first had  to research into the thriller genre in order for us to be able to  create a product that would appeal to the correct target audience. We decided that our product would be a psychological thriller which would be very intellectually challenging. After looking at a few statistics, we decided that our target audience would be people who are 18 years of age or older. This group of people are most likely to be well educated and possibly more drawn towards the intellectually challenging thrillers. 

As they are well educated the psychological plot would being interesting and entertaining for them. We also chose this audience because they have well paying jobs and therefore are more willing and likely to pay to watch our product in cinemas this rating was perfect for our product as there is excessive taboo language and constant violence which would be unsuitable for certain viewers.
